Don't Look too long
“I’m afraid that if you look at a thing long enough, it loses all of its meanings” - Andy Warhol
My fall avant-garde collection has a sense of creativity and levity. I was inspired by the artist Andy Warhol and his way of creating. He worked with multiple mediums and was not afraid of imperfections. I appreciate the handwork he did with painting, silk screening, advertising and even ink pens. I celebrated his use of color and different forms of mediums through fabric painting, embroidery, and silk screening. My collection was created with events like the Met Gala & performing musicians in mind. However, pieces can be styled to make an everyday street look.
